What can Professional Pest Management do for you?

A rodent prevention program is essential to the success of your business. Rodents cause millions and millions of dollars of damage to businesses each and every year. Professional Pest Management will create a plan tailored to your facility. We will use a combination of exclusion, good sanitation, and good prevention methods to ensure the safety of your facility.

What methods work the best?

Preventive Maintenance works the best! Knowing the environment your facility is placed in and what problems could occur will ultimately help you and your account manager develop a program to keep your facility rodent free. Don’t wait until your facility has rodents to put a plan in place. It is easier to prevent it than to rid your facility of the problem when it comes and less costly as well. Below is several methods to keep your facility under control or rid your facility of any rodent problems you may be experiencing.

Full Attic Clean Out / Complete Sanitation Clean up:

A full attic clean out is recommended when rodents have been in your attic for quite some time.  The tell tale signs of an excessive amount of rodents is when you see rodent droppings all throughout the attic, you can see urine stains in the insulation, burrows and nesting materials throughout the attic.

In these cases it is imperative for your health that we clean out all infested insulation, inspect and seal off all entrances to the attic, vacuum all droppings, and fully sanitize the attic space.

Below is pictures of before and after of an attic clean out.

Full Attic Clean Out

tap-logoT•A•P Pest Control Insulation is made principally from recycled paper that is diverted from landfills.  The paper is reduced in size and then fed through adisc-mill,whose exceedingly fine tolerances explode the fibers into a soft, gray, cotton-boll-like substance. The product is infused with borates through a proprietary process.  The result is a thermally and acoustically superior insulation product that is environmentally sensitive and also helps control pests!

T•A•P is a “loose-fill” insulation, so it is installed by blowing the product into attics on top of existing insulation (it can also be installed in attics and walls of new homes) with specialized machines.  While reducing your energy bills by keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer, T•A•P also controls common household pests that nest in attics and walls like roaches, ants, termites, and silverfish. T•A•P therefore provides a long-term, preventative approach to reducing energy consumption while protecting your home from many common household insects that come in contact with the insulation.

T•A•P saves money!  When added to existing insulation or installed on its own, T•A•P helps keep comfortable air in the living area of your home.  This reduces the required energy needed to heat or cool your home and, in turn, reduces your heating and cooling bills.

T•A•P reduces noise!  T•A•P reduces unwelcome noise from outside and helps create a peaceful environment inside the home. Insulated interior walls reduce annoying noises (such as toilets flushing and appliances running) inside a house.

T•A•P controls pests!  In addition to conserving energy and reducing unwanted sound, T•A•P also responsibly eliminates many common household pests.

T•A•P is Green!  With so many products claiming to be “green” these days, it is often difficult to discern which products truly are environmentally responsible.  When viewed in the context of the entire product life-cycle (from production to operation to disposal), cellulose insulation is one of the greenest building products in the world.  Cellulose insulation takes less energy to make than other insulation products, is made from 80%+ recycled paper, reduces a home’s carbon footprint by saving energy, and provides no post-installation waste.

T•A•P is labeled by the EPA to control insects and is an ENERGY STAR® qualified insulation.

Is it Safe?

tap-homeThe founders of T•A•P Pest Control Insulation designed the product with two main principles in mind: concern for people, and concern for the environment.

Principally made from recycled paper, T•A•P uses borates as the active pest control ingredient.  Borates are mineral salts mined from the earth and are commonly used in many consumer products such as contact lens solution and anti-fungal creams.  Borates are deadly to insects yet have extremely low toxicity to mammals and thus pose a minimal risk to people and pets.

Unlike most traditional pesticide chemicals, T•A•P is applied behind walls and in attics where exposure to people and pets is extremely limited.

T•A•P Pest Control Insulation is one the best performing insulations on the market. T•A•P outperforms traditional fiberglass insulation by 32% and, as a denser, loose-fill insulation, T•A•P fills in all of the nooks and crannies traditional insulation rolls do not.  The science tells the story, but simply put, T•A•P just works better.

Not only does cellulose insulation outperform other insulation from a thermal and acoustical standpoint, it takes less energy to make it!  Only T•A•P Pest Control Insulation, however, gives you the triple benefit of 32% greater efficiency when compared to traditional insulation, superior acoustical benefits, and the added value of pest control!

No other insulation product comes close.

Bait Stations

Controlling the damage caused by Norway rats (Rattus norvegicus) and house mice (Mus musculus) often involves the use of poison baits. Using bait stations in a rodent control program may increase the effectiveness and safety of rodent baits (rodenticides). Bait stations offer a preventive approach allowing rodents to first find the rodenticides placed on the exterior of the building deterring them from entering the structure of your facility. Exterior rodent bait stations offer great control in almost any setting.images-rodent-bait-stations.

Rodent Exclusion/Proofing

Physical exclusion of rodents is the most important part of any rodent control program. Physical exclusion keeps rodents from entering your structure and damaging food, equipment, and goods to be sold. Our licensed inspectors and service specialists will properly inspect your facility and note all areas where rodents may be able to enter your structure and work closely with management to ensure that your facility is “rodent proof”.

Professional Pest Managment gives a full one year warranty on any exclusion work performed by our company.

Liquitox Watering Stations

Liquitox Watering Stations is a liquid bait that allows us to quickly get your facility under control. Rodents need Food, Water, and Harborage to survive. Using the liquitox in conjunction with a rodenticide in a bait station, snap traps, or other baits gives rodents two of the three necessities they need and allows us to quickly rid your facility of rodents.

Glueboards/Snap Traps/T-Rex’s

Glueboards, Snap Traps, and T-Rex’s offer good control of rodents that have already entered the structure of your facility. Our service specialists will do a full inspection of the interior and strategically place glue boards or traps in the interior of your facility and monitor them to ensure proper control and eradication of rodents.

Glue boards and traps act as a report card for us monthly. We check them and replace them as necessary to ensure your problem is under control.

Tin Cats are a more permanent solution to help monitor your facility on a monthly basis. Inside each tin cat is a glue monitor that has a peanut butter attractant to draw any rodents or insects to the glueboards first rather then to the food or goods stored inside your facility.
